For art’s sake!

In October 2020, CB worked with Radio Velvet to deliver a range of kids tees for Disney and their licensing properties Marvel and Star Wars. “We were thrilled to be engaged by Angus Kingsmill, head of Radio Velvet – an art series brand pushing boundaries,” says John Storms. “CB ticked all the boxes for us,” says Angus. A range of Australian artists including muralist Heesco, typographer Luca Ionescu and illustrator Travis Price created the designs. “It was exciting to see the designs on the shelves in Myer stores and great to see CB involved. I like that CB’s garments are made from cotton that supports Australian farmers in a time where it’s more important than ever to back local products,” says Price. Machine delivered the screen-printed garments for distribution to Myer stores nationally in November. Angus concludes, “By the end of the summer, the Star Wars T-shirts were a best seller. We’re now getting ready for our 2021 collection launch and will definitely be working with CB again.”
